Code-a-thon outline

Local code-a-thons are designed to help you complete your app idea (or start a new one!) in time for the May 16th contest deadline. Producers, developers, designers and teams should bring all of their own development sdk’s, computers and software.

Applications for Good will be bringing in community partners from local service organizations and communities of need, to ensure that real people can share insight and give feedback during the production process. We believe that to create relevant and useful tools we need more than paper research. We need to hear the real story…. We also supply the location, high speed Internet, meals, judges, prizes/awards and team mentoring via partners and sponsors.

Code-a-thon prizes vary by city, but there is at least one $250 cash prize per city.
